gravity light is a new project in development at the moment which allows a cheap and renewable light source for the majority work. Current in development stages this device works around the principle that when you lift a heavy bag of sand in creates energy and this energy is used to power the light. A lift of the bag can provide about 30 minutes of light.
Kerosine burning produces 244 million tones of CO2 annually and this product could help dramatically reduce this amount
Currently costing about £25 to manufacture this project quickly repays itself and they are hoping to dramatically reduce the production cost.
